Part 62a of my Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance let’s play | Preparations
In this episode we play through the base of Chapter 27 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Moment of Fate. We begin with support conversations. In Elincia and Geoffrey’s C Support Elincia asks her retainer to let her fight on her own on the battlefield. In Jill and Lethe’s A Support, Jill finds closure and explains to Lethe why she stayed with the mercenaries, and the two agree that the beorc and laguz can one day find peace. In Brom and Boyd’s C Support, Boyd agrees to help Brom get into better shape. In Brom and Nephenee’s A Support, Brom shows Nephenee how to be herself around the other members of the Army. Next I read all 3 of Soren and Stefan’s supports in which they discuss Soren’s Branded heritage. Then we read the info conversation “Titania,” Ike tells Titania the story of Greil’s death. She promises to let Ike handle the Black Knight alone under the conditions that he retreat if he decides he can’t handle it. Then we go over the best Ike builds for the Black Knight battle, and manage our items. Now we’re finally ready to take down our rival!
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Fire Emblem 9/FE9) is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems (a division of Nintendo) for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. It is the ninth entry in the Fire Emblem series, a beloved Tactical RPG series known for its engaging gameplay, interesting characters, and support conversations. Common themes in the game are racism, the circumstances of one’s birth, and the consequences of war. Path of Radiance is one of the most sought after and expensive GameCube games, and so not many Fire Emblem fans have been able to experience it. So I want to share the game with the world!
Path of Radiance tells the story of Ike, a young Mercenary who lives in the Kingdom of Crimea. When the neighboring nation of Daein invades Crimea, Ike and his mercenary company are forced to evacuate Crimea. When they encounter the lost princess of Crimea, Elincia, their lives change forever. What ensues is a journey of reclaiming their homeland, and confronting a deadly evil.
