This chapter is a bit scary and you're basically on a timer to get the best reward : you want to recruit Joshua who's quite scary with his speed and the killing edge but it means to talk to him with Natasha, the fragile cleric you just got while getting all four villages and there are enemies everywhere.

I split my group into basically four squads initially. Artur, Garcia and Moulder go to the western side to deal with the enemies there and visit the shop to get some stuff there, I also try to give most of the experience to Artur. Eirika and Franz prepare to deal with the two bandits spawning to the east at the end of turn 1 (with Eirika in a forest to help her survival) while Natasha stays near them to heal if needed but she also needs to stay close to Seth who'll be the one to aggro Joshua afterwards. Vanessa will go from village to village to get the good rewards available while Seth destroys the enemies near Joshua, aggroes Joshua in order for Natasha to recruit him then goes and does his thing near the boss' area, he'll also deal with the boss. Joshua gets some other weaponry and gets some experience where he can.

The villages give some very good rewards : there are a dracoshield and a secret book, a good weapon and an item to help with Eirika's next map but the biggest reward (for protecting all four villages) is a guiding ring, a promotion item for magic units.

New units :

Natasha : Take Moulder, change his gender, give her a lower level and staff rank while having similar stats and you've got Natasha. She can fulfill Moulder's role but you go like three steps back. But at least she's cute right ?

Joshua : Joshua is a pretty good unit. He comes with a killing edge, a really good weapon, his stats are more than decent imo and he's also my fastest unit so he can double some things the others can't. However he is sword-locked so he can't retaliate at range. His promotion is obvious imo : assassin doesn't give him a big advantage (the Silencer skill is unreliable) while the swordmaster gives him better stats, one more con and a permanent 15% critical chance. Tbh I'll give him the first Hero crest because my only other real option is Garcia and at that point Swordmaster Joshua's got better stats than Hero Garcia everywhere but HP. However his promotion isn't that quick since his promotion item is available in chapter 10.
