There has been word about the Death Knight has been sighted near the Monastery, and while Caspar is looking forward to going up against the Death Knight, and for Mercedes, there is something on her mind. She believes that her brother and the Death Knight are the same person, so they enter the forest near the Monastery and encounter the Death Knight and the Imperial Troops.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This one is a really tricky paralogue, not only do you fight the Death Knight, and by the way, he is optional, so you don't really have to fight him in order to complete this paralogue, you have to defeat every other enemy on the map, but you get the best reward if you have Caspar defeat the Death Knight.
Mercedes and Caspar start on the northern part of the map, around as close to the Death Knight, but he does not move unless you provoke him. The Death Knight is a really dangerous opponent, he has the Scythe of Sariel and an Accuracy Ring, and to defeat him with Caspar, you will want him to be promoted to Warrior, so he will need to be at least Level 20 and with a high enough rank in Axe, as Warrior has Axe Crit +10 built into the class, and if you have Caspar equipped with a Killer Axe, or if you forged it into a Killer Axe+, and you use the Combat Art Smash, hope for luck that you get a critical hit, as that will take out the Death Knight in one shot, another option is to try and keep both Caspar and Mercedes away from the Demonic Beast's range, and have your other units advance to the northern side of the map, and have some weaken the Death Knight a bit, and then have Caspar deal the finishing blow.
There is a chest on the southwestern side of the map containing an Umbral Steel, and you get a Dark Seal for defeating the Death Knight, but for other items, you can steal an Accuracy Ring and an Elixir from the Death Knight.
The enemies on this map are quite tough, as most of which are Advanced Class, and there are some Demonic Beasts as well to deal with, but on the 10th turn, reinforcements will appear, a bunch of Imperial Soldiers will appear, those contain a Dark Knight, Hero, and Sniper, two of each, or on Maddening, three of each.
When you have defeated every Imperial Soldier on this map, that is the paralogue completed, the Death Knight is optional, but to get the best reward, you will need to have defeated him with Caspar.
For rewards, you get Bergliez War Group, a Battalion for Caspar, which requires a B Rank in Authority, which is not easy due to Caspar's Authority weakness, it does have good endurance and provides boosts to Strength and Charm, and the Gambit is Onslaught, so this can be a good Battalion to equip to Caspar if you can get him to B Rank in Authority.
The other Battalion is Church Soldiers, which is for Mercedes, and provides boosts to Hit, Resilience, Charm, and a low boost in Magic, and the Gambit is Resonant White Magic, which restores HP of all allies in range, and it requires a C Rank in Authority to equip. While it is a good Battalion to equip, Mercedes does get Fortify for one of her Faith spells, which heals allies in range, and it has a wide effect.
You get a Hero's Relic for competing this paralogue, and it is not a weapon, it is Rafail Gem, which is tied to the Crest of Lamine, and as Mercedes has that Crest, if that is equipped to her, it provides both Pavise and Aegis, so it has a chance to halve damage, and it negates bonus damage and critical hits against the wielder, and the Crest item for Lamine if you are doing New Game + is Aegis Dragon Sign, and as the Crest of Lamine conserves recovery magic, this isn't a bad item to equip to any of your healers.
If you have Caspar deal the final blow to the Death Knight, you will receive his Scythe of Sariel, this is a very powerful weapon with a high crit rate, but it requires an A Rank in Lance in order to use it, so any of your good Lance users, like Ferdinand, Lorenz, Sylvain, or Seteth can make good use of it if they have a high enough rank in Lance.
