Now that the original Shadow Dragon FE characters have been introduced, I play as a bunch of them.

Marth has a mechanic similar to Zelda in Hyrule Warriors, where he builds up light orbs and then can unleash more powerful Charge attacks which expends them. His sword will also obliterate any dragon type enemies, which you will start to run into more frequently from here on. His moveset is shared with Celica, but Celica doesn't appear in the story. Only in History Mode.

Navarre is a DLC character who has a fast twin sword moveset. It's shared with Lyn, but like Celica, she doesn't appear in the story either. It's a fun moveset that's very fast and satisfying to use.

Minerva is another DLC character who shares her moveset with Camilla. And she absolutely SHOULDN'T because Camilla is a Malig Knight, a Wyvern Rider that uses magic. Minerva is just your standard Wyvern Rider so she shouldn't be able to use all these explosive magic attacks like Camilla does. Clearly, this game doesn't care about that though. She also starts with a strong weapon so she'll tear through pretty much everything.

Since I've mentioned it, there are characters from other FEs that appear in this game. Celica from Shadows of Valentia and Lyn from FE7. Neither of them appear in the story whatsoever and can only be unlocked by playing History Mode, an incredibly boring grindfest mode with virtually no story beyond a handful of lines before and after certain battles.

Yes, only Awakening, Fates, and Shadow Dragon characters appear in this story. It is extremely disappointing and defeats the purpose of mashing FE characters into a single game. Tokyo Mirage Sessions also had this problem, but it was even worse there, in that game it was only Awakening and Shadow Dragon. Massive missed opportunity for both games. But at least I actually like Tokyo Mirage Session, so maybe I'll record that some day.
