First 5 minutes of Kaidro The Awakening at E3 2017
20A story based, mech RPG coming to Vive and Oculus Early Access in about a month.
The premise of the story according to the main site is:
"Kaidro follows a story of an oprhaned girl named Ava who gets drafted into the military academy to learn how to pilot mechs. In this post apocalyptic world, Union citizens must defend themselves against a race of people called the Outlanders. Due to the outnumbered population of Outlanders and their superhuman abilities, the Unions have developed 9 foot tall mechs to help defend their people. Amongst the chaos, Ava pieces together clues to figure out her purpose in this war-torn world."
The game appears to have a pretty high production quality with some pretty good voice acting and even dialog choices.
The game will follow 2 years of Avas life through 9 20 minute chapters which will be expanded upon through Early Access.
I didn't get the chance to play the game but this will be a day 1 pick up for me. We need more mech games and we need more RPG games in VR.
