First Look - Interstellar Marines - Fear The Brown Streak!
27*Note* Interstellar Marines is still in Steam Early Access. The developers are constantly updating and working on the game. There's a lot of fun to be had already. :)
Interstellar Marines caught me off guard a bit. I've been known to dabble in First Person Shooter games on and off for decades. I've done a bit less of that as of late, but it seems every time i jump back into one, I pick it up rather quick and what starts off as a bit of a challenge, become somewhat second nature after just a little bit. Interstellar Marines was not like that. I picked it up quicker than most other games, but I still get caught off guard and struggle with playing. It puts a bit more emphasis on skill as opposed to over powered weapons. It's an old school tactical FPS, with non-linear gameplay, online multiplayer, online co-op, and still some single play campaign missions and death match maps. It's latest addition is a tactical survival mode called Hell Week where you compete with all others trying to gain the highest score possible and stay alive. It's simple, yet brilliant in that simplicity, all reaction time, skill, planning, and adjusting on the fly. I hope I see more people online soon!

My thanks to the folks at Zero Point Software for sending me a copy of Interstellar Marines to show case as they just launched the new Hell Week, Tactical Survival mode. I've spent hours with the game already and while it's frustrating to get pwned over and over, it's also a lot of fun, and pwning newbs or even bots is very satisfying. :)
