6Howdy! I've done a lot of thinking about what I want to do with this channel after my experience streaming Pikmin 4 here.
I'll probably talk about it more during stream proper, but a big thing is I've rewritten the rules to be more specific and frankly more strict. Yes, they are longer. Unfortunately, that has become necessary. While I'd like to stress that most people are lovely to interact with in chat, there are also a fair few people who have been getting far too comfortable with the things they say. Please have a thorough read of the rules before chatting so that everyone, myself included, can enjoy the stream.
The other main thing is that I will likely be shifting my content style to more scripted, edited videos, because streams are incredibly difficult to edit into good and engaging content. I'll still be streaming, probably, depending on how these next few streams go, but I don't plan on making more highlights for the foreseeable future.
CHAT RULES
π« No discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether towards myself, guests, or people in chat. Attempting to use hateful slurs will result in an instant ban, as will any explicit comments.
π« Keep conversations on topic and related to the game or stream. This includes avoiding talk of other games, other people, politics, etc. A game stream is not the place for these conversations.
π« No spamming or self-promotion. This includes but is not limited to spamming emojis, letters, or just sending the same message several times in a row. All of these clog up the chat and make it difficult to read messages.
π« Zero tolerance policy for spoilers.
π« No backseating unless I explicitly ask for help or advice on something *and address chat while doing so.* Me being confused and asking questions to myself does not count. Let me play the game my own way. If my own way upsets you, go play it yourself.
π« I am not your therapist, and I am not your friend. Do not use stream chat as a way to vent. In a similar vein, what may be friendly teasing to you will come across as aggressive to me, because I do not know you or your sense of humour. Other people doing friendly teasing/bullying is NOT an invitation to do so yourself. They are either my friends, or they shouldn't be doing so in the first place.
π« Please only use English in chat. This is for moderation purposes. I can't tell the difference between a perfectly innocent phase and something rule-breaking, so you will be timed out either way.
π« If you see someone else breaking the rules, please just ignore/block them and do not engage.
π« Above all, just use some basic common sense and courtesy. If you are asked to stop, then stop.
