Sometimes when using IPhone or IPad screen recordings or video clips then audio can be out of sync when played back. This is even more evident when you try and use the footage or clips in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
The audio when watched on a PC will often start out fine but after a few minutes the sounds becomes noticeably out of sync. After a while this can be totally unwatchable.
The main reason behind this is down to Apple using the VFR or PFR this is Variable Frame Rate and Peak Frame Rate. This is similar to VBR but VBR doesn't effect the AV sync just the image or sound quality.
So what happens is that the recording hardware uses more frames when needed and less frames when there is little or no movement. So a action sequence will ramp up the frames recorded then in the quiet aftermath the frame rate can drop significantly but as the audio is also synced with the video when it gets played with most players they expect or prefer a constant framerate such as 30FPS or 60FPS for example.
So to fix the files so they can be used universally in editing and playback software you need to use a third party program to re align the frames to a constant number.
