Flailing around in Overwatch!
Enjoy my unedited failure to shootman, grenadedude, and rocketwoman, as taken from a late night, impromptu stream. First few minutes are me poking around with Junkrat, keeping an eye on the stream stability, then I jump into matches. Well, try to jump into matches. 4AM isn't exactly prime matchmaking time.
So, for the past decade and a half, just about every FPS game ever made gave me migraine headaches when I tried to play it. As it turns out, it's a mix of motion blur, narrow field of vision, and the freaking shakycam/headbob effect that they've all seemed to fall in love with. Something about all that just sets my brain off on a massive "NOPE" trip, and I end up nearly physically incapacitated.
So, a few weeks ago, after I discovered this, I told a friend, and they pointed out that Overwatch doesn't have any of that, and it's a really, really fun game. And he bought me a copy, since it was on sale. And it turns out he was correct. Overwatch is a FPS that, not only can I play it, it doesn't give me migraines.
So, I've been playing it. I've only got any real experience at four characters...Pharah, Zenyatta, Junkrat, and Reinhardt...and my level 10(12 by the end of the video) self has a decade and a half of FPS experience to make up for, but even when I'm sucking, I'm still having fun.
At some point, I need to gather a group of friends to play with. All my multiplayer sessions here have been with entirely random teammates. Not that it isn't still fun to play, but not having a discord/skype chat going to coordinate and not knowing the first thing about my teammates makes trying to play with them more difficult than it could be.
Doesn't excuse my complete lack of skill, though.
