The HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator) differs from the CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) in that the scale is an automatic rotating compass that shows our heading, we can not rotate it with the OBS (Omin Bearing Selector). In stead we rotate the VOR arrow with the OBS. The video whows how to find the 45 degrees intercept heading of any VOR radial.
