This might be one of the weirdest new Quest 2 games I've played in ages, a quaint and VERY simple Quest 2 flight simulator where you can fly a near endless amount of custom vehilces from planes to cars, helicopters to mechs and everything in between. Simpleplanes VR isn't the prettiest game in the world but it does pack a lot of custom content into it's small package that should keep flight enthusiasts entertained, I'm not personally a fan of flight simulators / VR flight simulator experiences but I know there is a huge audience out there and the Oculus Quest 2 definitely has a lack of solid Quest 2 flight games and experiences. Those looking for an indepth experience with a little more purpose might find Simpleplanes VR lacking as you can't plot courses or fly to real locations, the gameplay really does consist of picking a vehicle and then flying around in sandbox, combat or race scenarios... rinse and repeat.

Simpleplanes VR Oculus Quest 2 gameplay definitely has a janky charm, some rough around the edges personality and it's vast library of user created content is admirable but ultimately it left me underwhelmed. I'd personally wait for Ultrawings 2 or take a look at Warplanes WW2 Fighters if you're looking for Quest 2 flight games with an emphasis on combat. However if you just want to jump into some low poly iconic vehicles for a couple of hours of silly fun then Simpleplanes VR should scratch that itch for you, if someone builds the Millenium Falcon then I'll definitely have to hop back in...
