RESIDENT EVIL 3 VR WITH FULL MOTION CONTROLS! // The BEST VR MOD yet?!
0After my amazing experience with the Resident Evil 2 VR mod it's time to see how Resident Evil 3 VR stacks up in the growing list of games that have VR mods with motion controls & this one (much like RE2) is absolutely incredible! Walking the streets of Racoon City thanks to praydog's new Resident Evil 3 VR mod is one of the best VR experiences a Resident Evil fan could hope for, being able to the entire game in first person (yes thats right, this mod includes a Resident Evil 3 first person VR experience) with full motion controls is something that truly needs to be seen to be believed. I do prefer the Resident Evil 2 remake to the Resident Evil 3 remake but both are ultimately fantastic games and I hope you'll agree that seeing them come to life in possibly the best VR mod framework out there right now is something very special indeed.
The Resident Evil 3 remake VR mod / Resident Evil 3 VR mod is out now alongside the Resident Evil 2 VR mod and experimental (unfinished) versions of RE7 and Resident Evil Village. Eventually all 4 games should have full motion controls and work in VR but currently it's just RE2 VR and RE3 VR that are fully VR ready. Just for reference I captured this Resident Evil 3 VR gameplay using Oculus mirror & OBS so the performance/video representation has taken a slight hit, visuals inside the headset were much cleaner, crisper & framerates more stable than what the video shows on occassion. The Resident Evil 3 Remake VR mod is quite performance intensive however and to capture this I dropped most graphics settings to medium, without OBS/mirror running I'd happily scale things back up, my PC setup is as follows: RTX 2080, i7 9700k, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Windows 10 & using an Oculus Quest 2 with PC link cable. If you've had a taster of the Resident Evil VR Quest 2 / Resident Evil VR Oculus Quest 2 experience with RE4 VR but now you want something a little more "realistic" then grab the Resident Evil back catalogue on PC...we now have a whole new way to experience these amazing games!
