Vikings Part 7: Market in Forge of Empires
In Part 6 we constructed Clan Totems and these increased our diplomacy value. Now we will construct a market. This requires again to produce a lot of resources. Currently our production is running stable without interruptions. This lets us make good progress.
The market is a building with a 3x3 floor size that requires 38 population. It provides 108 diplomacy permanently plus 122 copper coins every 8 hours.
I again also use the app to collect productions. I notice that I would already have sufficient resources to release the new building type. But I prefer to postpone this for 4 hours as the required reconstruction of the city is easier to do on a big screen than on a smartphone.
I hope that from now on a single mead brewery will be enough, fearing a bit that this could have been a bit to early. Once again I use runestones as a quick temporary solution to add the required diplomacy.
As soon as the last runestone is completed the market can be released and we already can see the next building type, the wool farm.
As we enabled that new building type we also want to build it. We demolish these runestones and then the market takes 1 hour to be constructed. Before we can build a second market, we first have to get more population. Therefore we build another hut.
When the hut is constructed the second market can follow. Markets and huts bring us to 8 hour production cycles instead of 4 hours. Our stock of copper coins is growing well.
Finally we replace some couples of runestones by Clan Totems.
We see ourselves well prepared for part 8 of that little viking video series that will come soon.
