Description:
The Dahnans have been enslaved by the Renans for 3 centuries, all to harvest their astral energy for their own ambitions. In the fiery land of Calaglia, an amnesiac Dahnan slave meets a Renan prisoner, Shionne, who has the ability to summon a blazing sword but is unable to touch it. Fortunately, the Dahnan cannot feel pain, so he can wield it as long as Shionne spams healing artes. The two of them have to work with the various Dahnan resistance groups to free Dahna from the tyranny of the Renans and discover the truth behind the Renan invasion.

0:00 Recap
0:18 Maintenance Passageway
Unfortunately, the soldiers are brainwashed so that they'll attack anyone going through here, including Lord Dohalim.
3:16 Miniboss: Force Mantis (Hard)
It's strange using an arte other than Reigning Slash.
Fortunately, this retrain of the Mantis doesn't summon minions.
5:49 Maintenance Passageway P2
6:45 Forbidden Zone
The will of Dahna shows the party a vision of Alphen and Naori. Unlike the other Renans, she treats him like a person.
At the boss room, Fahria shows up with a fake master core and summons a boss.
15:43 Boss: Tormented Limbs (Hard)
19:10 Forbidden Zone P2
Avakhir followed us here and reveals that he overheard the truth about Tarnigen. He takes Fahria back to the surface.
You'll find another vision where Naori realizes that the Spirit Channeling Ceremony will cause a disaster, so she hesitates at the last minute. Unfortunately, this causes Alphen's Sovereign powers to go out of control and wreck Lenegis. This seems to be related to the Curse of Thorns, which entered Naori. The thorns are likely the will of the planet Rena, which wants to destroy all existence.
I guess Earthern Historia-like events are the only way Tales can write in backstory now.
At the computer room, the party learns more about how Sovereigns are made, and Vholran was also put through the same experiments as Alphen. He's the only other successful Sovereign, but he went crazy.
Also, there are no plans to preserve the city during Lenegis's transformation, since the people there essentially outlived their purpose in preparing the Master Cores.
In the next flashback, Naori places the sedative mask on Alphen and puts him in a stasis healing chamber in the starship. However, he's supposed to have a low chance of survival.
