4Using Cheat Engine, I figured out a way to change the selected character on a profile. It seems like you should be able to do this already considering you can unlock 5 bonus characters, but there's no option to. Either this is a Multiplayer-only feature, or it's an unimplemented feature. I do this by creating a new profile, entering the character select screen, then changing the selected profile to my main one. It properly recognizes the unlocked characters (most of the time) and lets me choose them, complete with a unique extra set of clothing.
Since all this game's levels are visibly connected, I did this run that combined Plaza and Highrise as Sebastien - I think it looks pretty cool.
