Freedom Planet: Zany's Playthrough Part 1
1Enjoy! Let's take a break from Splatoon 2 videos for now as I present the first of three classic playthroughs I was hard at work on!
It's time to play a beloved indie game in my backlog as everyone's polerizing blu-- Hey! That's not Sanic! It's just some purple female OC or something! At least this Lilac or whoever can go FIEST! So I'll take what I can get for now. Interestingly enough, with the games this one takes heavy inspiration from. I could say that Freedom Planet is my first actual experience with classic 2D Sonic and Mega Man X-ish gameplay. Don't know why it's taken me this long to come to that. One thing I'll give this game major props to in the gameplay department is challenging my knowledge of platforming elements I've come to expect over the years and turning them on their head such as actually taking damage from small rock debris when that's normally just visual flair. I'm glad to have finally gotten around to play this game, so hope you like this playthrough.
For this playthrough. I'll be keeping the difficulty on Normal and stick primarily to playing as Lilac since she's the most fun character of the three to use with Milla filling in for the two stages Lilac is not available in. So no Carol here in which I'm sorry to disappoint anyone looking forward to that. Second is that I play through the game on Classic mode, or rather the stages played in Time Attack mode cobbled together into a couple videos, as to keep the pacing flowing smoothly in the videos. Plus I've heard less than positive things about this game's story which sounds like someone's early fanfiction (no offense). Lastly, the two main prerequisites I had when recording each stage run was to get a good time, namely under the achievement time, and to not die once.
So with that all out of the way. This video will cover the first five stages in the game.
