in part 2 of our Freelancer HD series on hard mode, we find King our dedicated search wing call sign Epsilon flying off to the middle of nowhere in the Pitsburg debris field to investigate and eliminate a rogue base.

Just as we start our search pattern we get alerted to a prison ship of all things under heavy siege from the liberty rogues meaning that the hideout must be close by with all the grace of a bat we managed to save the ship it's badly crippled so trent and king leave Epsilon wing in place to defend it while we carry on the hunt.

we soon get hailed by Beta Four the last remaining man of his wing the rest were ambushed and destroyed by the time we got to him it would have been easy to mistake him for a small star the fire was that intense.

once the rogues were dealt with we got a really good idea where the base of operations was and King rightfully called in for the remaining wings to come to our location Delta wing was hauling torpedos that would tear the guts out of the armored depot.

Trent had some free time on his hands so went exploring for fun and to see what he could find in the system he was contained in, he stumbled onto five badly damaged ships that were no longer space-worthy and decided their equipment was more use to him then the decaying wreaks.

this is some of the best bits of the game as this is where you are free to do what you want where you want it's still quite closed off but it is now more open and teasing you with the open-world nature of the game

upon returning to Planet Manhatten Juni and King were waiting to give the next assignment Capture Sean Ashcroft alive this time I'm looking at you, King.

We stumbled onto a smuggler that we thought was Ashcroft and tried to take him in but turns out it wasn't our man, while we were distracted Pueblo Station had set up an ambush for Ashcroft and the LSF fighters that were meant to slow them down failed to slow them down and Pueblo Station was starting to take critical damage with my upgraded ship they proved to be a nonissue.

we left Pueblo Station and found our man Sean Ashcroft attempting to jump to New York via a jump hole
