This is the twenty-sixth mission of the Blackwater Operations campaign for Freespace 2. We occupy the role of Commander Aidan Mallory, freshly assigned to command the 101st Blackwater Squadron, Special Operations Command. We are launching a strike against the shipyard in Ribos to capture the Golgotha's sister ship, GTD Desdemona, which is nearing completion. The GTVA cannot allow a second such ship to fall into Kepler's hands. We must destroy the shipyard's defenses, consisting of sentry guns and fighters, and escort a transport to execute a board and capture operation against the juggernaut. If this fails, we must destroy the ship rather than allow it to fall into enemy hands. Simultaneously, the 59th will lead a similar offensive against the nearby Eldritch Installation to capture the plans and other necessary data to allow for the Desdemona's completion.
