This is the twenty-eighth mission of the Blackwater Operations campaign for Freespace 2. We occupy the role of Commander Aidan Mallory, freshly assigned to command the 101st Blackwater Squadron, Special Operations Command. With the Vasudan fleet back in theater, we have returned to Beta Aquilae. Admiral Kepler's forces haven't secured the entire system yet; the Alfheim deuterium refinery remains untouched and has several GTVA warships clustered around it. The disposition and loyalties of the station and these ships is unknown, so in concert with the Vasudan 305th we are deploying there to make contact and ascertain their intentions. If any of the warships prove hostile, we are to disable them for capture.
