Freespace 2: Blackwater Operations - The Other Side
4This is the fourteenth mission of the Blackwater Operations campaign for Freespace 2. We occupy the role of Commander Aidan Mallory, freshly assigned to command the 101st Blackwater Squadron, Special Operations Command. The Scion of Vasuda forces have fled through the node to Phi Eridani, and we have pursued. The system has apparently become a nebula sometime between Derelict/Warzone and now. We are scrambling to relieve the GVCa Somtus, which has gone out of contact after transmitting that it had engaged the Hedetet. A large task force comprising the destroyers Tatanen and Zednadreh along with the corvettes Kassala and Atbara is responding with orders to ascertain the condition of the Somtus and destroy the Hedetet if she is present. The Vasudan fleet is engaging SoV forces throughout the nebula, so we expect that if Ahmose's flagship is here, it's only support should be its own fighter and bomber complement.
