This is the ninth mission of the Derelict campaign for Freespace 2. The Lucifer hulk, now designated Nyarlathotep, is destabilizing the subspace corridor between Altair and Tau Sigma by its weeks-long presence and large mass. It must be moved out of the subspace corridor and into Tau Sigma. However, there's a problem. The local miners, cut off from supplies and payment by the closure of the jump node for weeks on end, have had enough, and seized every ship they could lay hands on - including the GTC Lone Wolf and TRGC Sai, which had still been docked at Tau Sigma Station - and blockaded the jump node in protest. Accompanying the GTCv Escher, we must disperse the civilians before bringing the derelict through. It's estimated that we have only three hours before the jump corridor dangerously destabilizes.
