This is the fifth mission of the Luyten Civil War campaign for Freespace 2. I had intended to go into Freespace Blue, but I recently heard the news that TopAce, a prolific mod creator and contributor at Hard Light Productions who created this campaign, has sadly passed away. I'm playing his campaigns in his honor. We occupy the role of a veteran pilot assigned to the GTD Washington based in Laramis. Recon units have located a Luyten Coalition controlled space station, a formerly derelict Great War era mining platform that they are using to stage multiple bomber wings. Several wings of Boanerges-class bombers are docked at the installation, leading the admiral to believe that they intend to mount a massive bomber strike against the Washington. We cannot allow this to happen, so we're launching a strike. All parked bombers must be destroyed. After this has happened and we have achieved space superiority, several transports of Marines will arrive to board and capture the installation, which is too big to feasibly destroy in a hurry.
