This is the second mission of the Renegade Resurgence campaign for Freespace 2. I had intended to go into Freespace Blue, but I recently heard the news that TopAce, a prolific mod creator and contributor at Hard Light Productions who created this campaign, has sadly passed away. I'm playing his campaigns in his honor. We occupy the role of a rookie pilot assigned to the 53rd Hammerheads, GTD Aquitaine. The pirates have turned out to be much more than that, having turned up with a destroyer task force in our last sortie. Command has decided they must be a remnant of the Neo-Terran Front. While the enemy destroyed the station in our last sortie, they left the repair yard intact, leading Command to believe they intend to set up a base of operations in Altair. Our mission is to launch a strike against the enemy fleet, eliminating their cruiser escorts and as many of the cargo containers they're bringing into the area as possible.
