This is the third mission of the Renegade Resurgence campaign for Freespace 2. I had intended to go into Freespace Blue, but I recently heard the news that TopAce, a prolific mod creator and contributor at Hard Light Productions who created this campaign, has sadly passed away. I'm playing his campaigns in his honor. We occupy the role of a rookie pilot assigned to the 53rd Hammerheads, GTD Aquitaine. The unidentified renegades have located and destroyed the unfinished research station at Altair II, but while they were so occupied the Aquitaine's battlegroup took the opportunity to run for the node. We are now in Aldebaran. Renegade scouting wings have followed us, and an attack is expected at any time. Our mission is to cover the evacuation of Argusen Station near the Altair-Aldebaran jump node.
