Freespace 2: Renegade Resurgence - Serious Situation at Sirius/Jump Node Protection
4This is the eighth mission of the Renegade Resurgence campaign for Freespace 2. I had intended to go into Freespace Blue, but I recently heard the news that TopAce, a prolific mod creator and contributor at Hard Light Productions who created this campaign, has sadly passed away. I'm playing his campaigns in his honor. We occupy the role of a rookie pilot on emergency reassignment to the 203rd Scorpions, GVD Memphis. The RVD Skull, the renegades' Hatshepsut class destroyer, has been spotted in Sirius approaching the jump node to Vasuda Prime (despite recent assurances from GTVI that the renegades were not in Sirius). We are being scrambled as part of an emergency strike package, tasked with disabling the destroyer before it can reach the node.
