This is the fourteenth mission of Warmachine, a weapon testbed reskin of Blue Planet: Age of Aquarius. Warmachine is a complete overhaul of Freespace's ships and weapons, with everything turned up to 11. We occupy the character of Commander Samuel Bei of the 222nd Nightwolves, stationed again on the GTD Orestes. We have been rescued; apparently the Vishnans had the foresight to leave Commander Bei's body in his environment suit floating near the Ross 128 jump node for the Orestes to find rather than carry him to certain doom aboard it as it delivered its fateful message. The Orestes has evaded the Sathanas and entered Ross 128, but the Shivan juggernaut is in pursuit.

The battlegroup has split up. The Orestes travels unescorted save for her fighter wings to lure the Sathanas while the escort vessels guard the GTL Fortune elsewhere in the system to draw off its fighter and bomber wings. The Orestes now recharges her jump engines, and we have a full strike package flying CAP should the new juggernaut appear, ready to attempt disarming its forward beams.
