Freespace 2: Where Eagles Dare - Conflicting Orders
4This is the fourth mission of the fourth part of the Lightning Marshal campaign anthology for Freespace 2, Where Eagles Dare. We have been diverted from our shore leave in Epsilon Pegasi on Christmas Day of all days (if I'd known I'd have done this campaign sooner and had it as a Christmas mission) because the Neo-Terran Front is expected to launch an attack on a vital weapons production facility in the system and our squadron is the best equipped unit that can guard the station until a more permanent security arrangement is established. Bomber and cruiser attacks are expected.
Unlike most other content in this series, this is a blind first play. I never played this campaign when I first picked up Freespace years ago.
