This is the first mission of Freespace Blue, the Blue Planet team's rebalancing and reimagining of the main campaign of Freespace 2. The Neo-Terran Front, a rebel group demanding the dissolution of the Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance and the expulsion of Vasudans from what they consider human space, is fighting the GTVA for control of the Deneb system. Our squadron, the 53rd Hammerheads flying off of the GTD Aquitaine, have been deployed to protect Vasudan refugee convoys fleeing Cygnus Prime (why a planet in Deneb is named that is a mystery) that have fallen under attack from marauding NTF strike groups.
