Fresh Start in Grass Fields - Phase 1 - Satisfactory ep 1 - Naysmith Plays
Hello! Welcome back to Naysmith Gaming.
In today's episode, I'm playing Satisfactory. This was actually a Livestream on my Twitch channel, https://www.twitch.tv/naysmithgaming where I used to do a little streaming and am now trying to get back into it. Sporadically.
Crafting hundreds of parts by hand is a pain. Really, a good book is mandatory for that strategy. About halfway through crafting - 2/3 to 3/4 of the milestones I go through - I set up Smelters and Constructors. Towards the end, also an Assembler (though I only used it for 1/2 of the not-necessary steps in Project Assembly).
What do you think of how the game encourages automation (large numbers of stuff needed, and hand-crafting being a pain)? What do you think about how this shows automation? Ignoring the aesthetic, I think this is a compelling case for how industry is so necessary... and the lack of solar and wind power (geothermal is late-game) reflects how Ficsit and real corporations go beyond "necessary" by flat-out not caring about the environment.
Thanks for watching!
