From the Depths: Boomer Navy Fleet Review #1
2Every six months to a year, it happens. I forget how much of a time waster From the Depths is, I forget how stupid and needlessly frustrating the campaign can be, I start watching documentaries on WWII naval battles and I think, "what if I did THIS in From the Depths??" And so I get sucked in again, until I realize I have a life and my time is valuable and this is a waste of it. ;)
And, okay, sometimes it can be kind of awesome or I wouldn't keep coming back to it.
This is the fleet for the 2023 campaign. We are the Boomer Navy or the "Boomer Nayvee" as the flag says. Myself being the Boomer in question (I was born at the tail end of the Boomers, I'm an old guy.) I would like to get some capable surface ships going, but as usual it is probably going to mostly be submarines and airships. Speed or depth, that's the way I roll (preferably both fast and deep.) If you are deep enough, you can automatically filter out probably half the vessels you are going to face because they aren't going to be able to hit you, and if you are fast enough you can automatically filter out probably half the vessels you will face because they also will not be able to hit you.
I will upload some of these to the workshop once I actually get started on campaign.
