Was glad to see that this game is around to be obtained. Anyways, onto the mission details:
[INTRO MISSIONS #1: WAYS OF MAGIC]
- Bring Arkon to the Red Gate
Units Introduced:
Wizard - Ranged caster unit. Can cast Fireball, Cursed Rain, and Frost Breath. Uses lightning bolts as a default attack and automatically gains a mana shield when attacked. Can create Mana Potions for their own use to give to allies.
A pretty easy mission, this is where you will learn how to use the Wizard caster unit from the Human faction. Use the globes to gain hints on how the Wizard works. Arkon, a named Wizard unit will be under your control at the start of this map.
Grab the spell upgrades first before sending Arkon southeast to face a Griffin which should pose much problem. Grab the items that it may drop and stuff from the chest.
Before you reach the Red Gate, two Greenskin units will be in the way. The first is a storm trooper which can be easily handled with Frost Breath and Fireball and a Warlord further up north which can be dealt with the same way.
The red gate is in the northeast corner - if Arkon steps on it; the mission ends in victory.
Take note that you can save Arkon for use in different maps or missions later on at the victory screen.
