Deez brownines will make you feel less lonely and more loved and may even make your husband surprise you and come home for Valentine's Day!

(Recipe published in Weeknight Baking by Michelle Lopez)
Ingredients:
1 C. granulated sugar***
3/4 C. all purpose flour
2/3 C. cocoa powder
1/2 C. confectioners (powdered) sugar
1/2 C. dark chocolate chips
3/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1/2 C. oil (canola or olive) ((recreational oregano tips at bottom))
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
***Recipe calls for 1 1/2 C. granulated sugar but for me ees too much. Add the extra 1/2 C. if you want a sweeter brownie.

Preheat oven to 325F (160C) and spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray, rub with paper towel to clean up excess. Line with parchment paper and spray that with cooking spray.
Combine dry, sifted ingredients in a separate bowl from your wet ingredients. WHISK THEM AWAY TO LOVE! Combine wet and dry, add chocolate chips. Stirring and mixing and doing all the things til everything is evenly incorporated. IT DO BE THIUCK. Pour batter into greased up dish and evenly distribute, smoothing the top as much as you can. Bake for 40 minutes for a fudgier brownie, up to 8 minutes longer for a cakier, chewier brownie if you're a psychopath.

Nutrition:
you don't need it it's Valentine's Day so holiday calories don't count 🤝🏼

Recreational Oregano Oil:
Preheat oven to 250F. Take desired amount of flower you want for recipe, grind up and put on a baking sheet. Put baking sheet in heated oven for 20-25 mins, keeping a close eye on it so it doesn't burn (some ovens run hotter than others). Once it is decarboxylated, put in a mason jar and cover completely with premeasured oil (1/2 C. from recipe). Put mason jar in a hot water bath for 1 hour. Using a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve strain the mixture so you are left with only oil! You can save the other goods to spread on garlic toast or something for another time if you wish so nothing goes to waste :) Add oil to recipe as usual.
