Galaga Arcade Tutorial: Beginning Tips and Tricks
Ever wanted to get down some good basic pointers when it comes to Namco's galactic shoot 'em up Galaga? Well, now you can! In this first-ever arcade tutorial video I'm gonna give you a few basic pointers to help keep you alive and blasting those bitter bugger bad boys.
In this video I'm going to go over the core basics for you newcomers - so things like the rules of the game and when you get extra lives* - guidelines when it comes to moving, dodging, and aiming your shots at aliens, taking note of enemy behaviors such as how the aliens attack, how to recognize when a Galaga is going in for the tractor shot, and so on, doubling up with two fighters and why that's boss, and finally, some pointers on scoring, including an in-depth look at point values.

Side Notes:
I'm aware of the mistakes with part 4 and 5's titles. This was something I didn't catch until after the video was uploaded.
*Point values for this game can be operator set, something I didn't mention in the video. I was looking at guides for the game when going over extra lives - as the Pac-Man 20th Anniversary game doesn't actually show the extra point values. It seems like 20k, 70k, and then every 70k is just a common operator setting; the actual defaults are 20k, 60k, then every 60k after.
