Tempest Controls Tutorial || MAME Tutorial
12Hello there fellow Dazzlers and New Players alike! Razzle Joestar bringing you...another tutorial video!? Yes that's right, another one! See, I was firing up some good ol' Tempest today and realized that I actually mapped my mouse to the controls!
See, the original arcade controller for Tempest was a dial/knob that you'd crank to move your ship. Well, while home ports certainly changed the game so it'd work with a D-Pad, using MAME can introduce some problems since it'll be trying to emulate the use of the dial/knob. This really threw me off at first, so I figured I'd make a video showing off three different ways to do controls in Tempest - Keyboard, Controller, and Mouse (unfortunately I don't have a trackball) - some gameplay of each, and which one I think works best.
