Got a child, neice or nephew that is interesting in game development? Or just want to have fun for a few hours creating games in about the easiest way possible? GameBuilder may be perfect for you!

Currently in early access on Steam, and intended to remain free in the future, Game Builder is a game in which you create games. It's like Minecraft with a layer of programming support on top of it. In fact, you can jump in and code directly in Javascript if that's your thing. You can also download/share with Steamworks integration. Future plans include Unity import/export, behavior sharing and more.

Finally, it's just kinda fun, even for this not child... plus, drama free! ;)
