An oldschool gamer plays the Steam game, FlatOut for the first time. This video was created for journalistic purposes.

For those of you playing this on Steam like me, sometimes this game has problems booting. You might need to kill the process and boot it a second time. Another possible conflict seems to revolve around ASUS's built-in Sonic Studio programs (which boots on startup). If the game repeatedly doesn't boot and you're on an ASUS desktop, try going into your task manager and kill the SS3Svc32.exe process. Once you kill the process, try booting your game again. Both solutions ended up working for me in my two different attempts to get this game running. Hopefully, this helps you out too.

Have you heard of FlatOut? My understanding is that this is a spiritual successor to the Destruction Derby series, so does this look like a good series to try after that? For those who have played this series, is the first one a great game to play first or are there better games to play later on?
