This video tutorial shows you how to make a popup speech bubble obove a npc or any kind of object you wish in gamemaker studio. You see this in a lot of old school video games to inform the player of the intentions of npcs like enemy or friendly characters.

The npc creates an instance when it collides with lets say the player. This instance is a sprite which looks like a speech bubble.
