Game Programming Oddities Super Game Boy OBJ_TRN Invalid Vector Jump Command C3 Bomberman Quest SGB
Bomberman Quest calls OBJ_TRN even though the game doesn't communicate I/O from SNES VRAM; instead Bomberman Quest reads from the main jump ROM vector and it shouldn't be doing this ever. The only thing I can assume it is doing this is because the game expects data to be present and it is reading JOYPAD registers in error and this was an oversight. The game doesn't jump to a new memory bank to see if more pieces of the spaceship are collected and then would read the game out from that point. The only other logical explanation would be that it might need to perform a jump in memory where it would further make necessary changes to the game based on information it received from RAM and jump to the new ROM bank destination? The game jumps to the main entry point where it boots from.
