Gameplay Snippet of Shadow of the Tomb Raider on Linux via Lutris/Wine
A few minutes of me playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on Linux with Lutris/Wine @ 1440p60.
Hardware:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700X
GPU: AMD Radeon VII (16GB)
RAM: 32 GB
Mouse: Logitech G703 + Powerplay Mousepad
Keyboard: Roccat Isku
Gamepad: Microsoft Xbox One Controller
Audio: Sennheiser Game One + Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro
Software:
OS: Antergos
Kernel: Linux 5.0.7-zen
Driver: Mesa 19.0.2 / RADV
Wine: tkg-protonified-4.6 / DXVK 1.1 (r107.g044e3967)
Notes:
* Game is on NG+
* Locked the game at 60 fps with libstrangle
* I used Lutris/Wine instead of SteamPlay, because libstrangle didn't seem to work otherwise
* DXVK is built from git
* Sometimes there seem to be significant fps drops, but this is only in the video and did not happen in the game. The framerate is rather stable, as you can observer from the DXVK HUD in the upper left corner.
* This title was a bit tough to capture. I tried multiple approaches and ended up with ffmpeg + vaapi + kmsgrab, as this was the only way allowing me to capture in 1440p60 while not killing the performance and still delivering somewhat usable footage. Networking methods almost worked fine, but didn't deliver a consistent video above 1080p60 - at least with this game :/ Idk why
