How about a gaming laptop comparison that no one asked for? This is Alienware’s latest M16 gaming laptop. And this is its predecessor. Well, it’s predecessor’s predecessor…’s predecessor: The Alienware M15x gaming laptop from 2009!



Clocking in at over 4kg, it’s nearly a kilo heavier than its modern counterpart. It features a 900p display, ATI Radeon HD 5850 and 4GB of RAM - although an 8GB option was available. The newer M16 certainly offers a performance edge… but does it have a DVD rewriter or VGA output? No.


The Alienware M15x could run Crysis back in its day - just - but its gaming days ARE somewhat behind it. Still, lots of fun to look at though!
