Gaming on the ceiling? Things to do with the Nebula Mars 3 Air projector
44Prawn here with a look at the Nebula Mars 3 Air portable projector. I was sent this projector to get my thoughts on it, but rather than the standard use case of watching content on it (like Netflix, Disney or Prime) I thought it might be fun to use it for PC gaming instead. Yes, the Nebula Mars 3 Air projector has Google TV, meaning you can watch lots of things, but it also has HDMI support. So I plugged a PC into it and then gamed on the ceiling and the walls of my living room and my son's bedroom. I played Fortnite, Forza 5, The Finals and more to see what it was like.
This is a 1080p projector that's capable of projecting a screen upto 150 inches. That's fairly massive, so if you've got the space then you can make the most of this. Obviously you need to have a good amount of space in order to do it. To get a big "screen" you need the projector to be a decent distance from your wall or surface. But the bigger the screen, the blurrier it is. Which makes sense because a 1080p TV that was 150inches wouldn't look as good as a small 4K TV. However, I was surprised by how visible it was even in a brightly lit room. If you have black out curtains and a good smooth surface, then this is a great bit of kit.
The Nebula Mars 3 Air projector is also portable. So you can use it anywhere (assuming you have WiFi). And upto 2.5 hours. Plus it also works as a Bluetooth speaker. I was impressed by how capable this thing is.
