So, Garden of the Sea is a cute game. Although game might be too strong of a word.

There's very little content with no progression or meaning to anything you do other than the zen experience of planting crops and feeding random animals of the island. If that's you're thing then this game might be for you, if you're like me and need more, then you should probably hold off. I did go into this hoping for more of that Harvest Moon experience but I'm judging it based on the listed Main Features on the Steam Page.

Currently there appears to only be teleportation locomotion in the game with no locomotion or comfort options at all. This is pretty damaging IMO. I love seeing a plethora of options and sadly, GotS dissappoints.

Not only were there no locomotion options but teleportation was very wonkey. Often times not working for no visible reason that I noticed. Not only that but while teleporting I'd frequently lose what I was holding. While things like these aren't gamebreaking bugs, they are very visible and very annoying. Bugs like this really detract from the overall expereince of the game.

The game is bright and colorful. The audio was passable. Nothing really asthetically dispealing or wowing.

The game hits most of its bullet points in the Main Features section with the exception of puzzles and challenges unless that map actually had a solution. Personally with the lacking of quality in that map, I'd say that was more of a random thing than any acutal puzzle but that's just me.

At the end of the day, GotS is a game with a lot of potential in the VR space, but lacking in content and updates is going to give this a thumbs down.
