13Great game. Tense, atmospheric, visceral melee combat, interesting story so far. I'm hooked. There are a few WTF design decisions though...
Crouching. Why can't I physically crouch? I see no reason that this should be locked down to just a button press. I've heard that there's a way to 'hack' the config file to make it work. That shouldn't be needed in a game of this quality. Why?
Gun play. Why does my gun wobble around like I'm trying to hold a rifle with 3 fingers!? No one, absolutely no one, is so bad at guns that they're that floaty with a pistol. With two hands on it too! With the reputation that we seem to have I imagine we know our way around a firearm. Especially since we apparently know how to craft them from spare parts. I see no reason for how bad the pistol felt. The shotgun didn't seem that bad. This might only apply to pistols. ATM, I don't think I'll be wasting resources on any more pistols until this is addressed. Pretty big black mark on an otherwise great game.
Other than that though, the game does a lot of things right.
Plenty of options in the game to customize the experience to your liking.
The game looks great in headset and sounds even better which does a great job at setting the tense atmosphere. The voice acting! So happy to have good voice acting and it's all over too!
I love how it didn't overtly seem to tell you what the 'saint' and 'sinner' options were. No [renegade] vs [paragon] tag to potentially alter which option you choose to pick the 'good'/'bad' option. You have to actually think about what you're saying/doing.
Overall a high end VR experience with a couple questionable quirks that don't make or break the game. Definitely worth a pickup for the promised 15+ hour game.
