Gas leak or deadly cult? The Building 71 Incident answers the age old question (Full Lets Play)
Ok, this beautiful short indie hOk, this beautiful short indie horror game by Scary Cube (what a great dev name) has everything you would ever want:
- toilets
- cults
- a true bop that will get stuck in your head
- intrigue and drama
- all the VHS players you’d ever want
I had so much fun playing this and the way the dev worked with the camera cutting in and out of the action was fantastic. The pacing is great, the sound design made me jump a few times and the story - well, I am a sucker for cults, so I loved it.
Play the game yourself and give some love to the developer: https://scary-cube.itch.io/the-building-71-incident
Also, the song in the game is “What’s the matter with the moon tonight” sung by J.W. Meyer who was a Welsh bariton singer and recorded this somewhere between 1890 and 1910: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grdQnrHjUjQ
And I also talked about C.W. Stoneking, an Australian musician, so here’s my favourite murder ballad by him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpPT7Z6PGgM
And just to make this a proper playlist, haha, because I recently listened to this song and it reminds me of this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBW8Vnp8BzU
