Developer Adrenak missed the HPS1 Summer of Shivers Game Jam just so but does that keep me from enjoying a darn good game about a creepy door leading me into the dark depths of an otherworldly hell? Of course not! (I will also add his game to my Summer of Shivers playlist because I am punk rock!) This was such a short indie horror game but it still managed to thoroughly spook me, thanks to some neat ideas and a truly masterful use of sound.

Also, in case you don’t know. “Being John Malkovich” is a lovely surreal and only slightly unnerving dramedy about finding a door that leads you into the head of the actual John Malkovich. The story was penned by Charlie Kaufman who always creates weird, wonderful worlds of magical realism with heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UuRFr0GnHM

The “Silence of the Lambs” should be a lot more popular amongst horror fans and if you don’t know it and think it’s too old to be fun, really try it, it’s super creepy, it looks gorgeous (and gross) and the performances are top notch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6Mm8Sbe__o
