Borderlands 4 has been in the press for all the wrong reasons, as it has launched with some VERY poor performance and optimization issues, and the controversy was made worse by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford fueling the fire with some very out of touch comments on Twitter. In this video we discuss this, mostly focusing on how DLSS and multi frame generation (or just frame gen in general) are NOT a replacement for optimization. After several high profile UE5 games such as MGS 3 Delta have launched with even RTX 5090 owners struggling to get proper performance benchmarks - it's clear something needs to change.
