I was explaining how to ramp gear to some friends over in the Discord when I realized that this is probably just good info to try to condense and share, take what helps you out from this video. Also, if you have any additional insights about itemization breakpoints, leave 'em in the comments or hit me on Discord/Twitch so that I can add to this information.

Quick rundown of my process:
a) Check the drops for good stats
Item Power: Multiple thresholds, check where your gear falls and try to go up 1
400 // 500 // 600 // 700+
Remember, Item Power is only unbelievably absurd on weapons (that you use)
Affixes that the build needs (2-3)
Socket (if no Scattered Prisms)
b) Occultist - enchant the item once (if needed)
If the item still isn't good enough, end process here
c) Upgrade the item
Remember, rolls change when crossing 725 IP, so this might effect if this is an upgrade
If a piece can hit 725 IP, do it
d) Imprint the item with an Aspect
e) Socket the item if applicable
