Gedonia playthrough Part 04 Hidden orc camps in the mountains

In this part, I keep exploring the second region (by the level range) to level up my character and find some decent loot. I used to play a lot of World of Warcraft back in the day and one of my favorite activities was mining. Because of that and the fact that I always kept finding weird routes to the ore nodes, I have this habit of checking whether "that mountain is climbable" and kind of forcing my way up on slopes. In case of this game, it pays off - you can find various cools stuff hidden in the mountains. Like orc camps for example. I later on discovered that it was a part of a side quest, but at the point of discovery it felt really refreshing to see a game that really rewards players who go (far far) off the beaten path. It almost feels like exploration in Two Worlds where like 80% of the map felt unrelated to any part of the main quest. In Two Worlds, there was a glacier in the top right part of the map and as far as I remember not even a side quest required the player to go there. But if the player felt the urge to explore it, he or she would find a whole bunch of camps with pretty strong orcs waiting there to be decimated. This game gave me very similar vibes in this scope. In this part, I also explore the first location that feels like a more elaborate dungeon with a self-contained story, a boss to fight and environmental puzzles to solve - the Cursed Prison. I really liked that the developer decided to add environmental puzzles, but they feel very clunky and imprecise, like on the verge of a glitch. I also read somewhere that the dev really likes old-school RPGs and letting the players to figure things out by themselves - that shows and definitely makes the game more interesting.
