Gem (me-view) vs Rambo vs Sabotage - I play Rune Quake after 5 years lol - game 5
As the title says here, after 5 years I manage to play Quake lol. Idk what happened, I've been asked where I've been and don't know how to answer exactly. I think a good answer would be that playing Quake has fallen off as a habit because I've been busy with other interests and I just didn't have any more time for it during the day and so I have not played anymore. -BUT- this was not by choice, rather by circumstance. I actually -DO WANT- to play Quake often and want to make it a daily habit (if possible, but not sure) or maybe I'll settle for 3x a week heh heh.. *wink
Funnily enough, when I got on the server it seemed like nothing has changed since my absence. Believe it or not, -EVERYTHING- was the same lool. The players, the skill levels and the atmosphere. That is really crazy. I did expect people to get a lot better since I wasn't there but no, it was the same.. exact.. thing.. as before haha! And about me, I noticed when watching back this demo that I was moving in small increments like a turtle lol. I found playing this fast paced game disorienting and I did have to take a few breaks here and there when I felt overwhelmed and to catch my breath - phew. This is not like SinglePlayer games where you can stop and take a break anytime, the game keeps flowing and going so stopping can mean losing the game but I was all in it for the fun, really :o)
I think with some time, I should pick up more speed and get used to this high-speed octane sort of game and looking forward to many more games in the future :D If you want to join in the fun, grab Quake from Steam and/ or download a client from QuakeOne.com and type in console by hitting tilde '~' connect Quake.Shmack.Net - there's lots of fun to be had so see you there! :o)
