Biography: A stalwart figure in the UK’s underground rave and punk scenes, Penny Oxley’s genre-bending career has garnered acclaim throughout the underground. With her music as aggressive as her riding style and her mastery of the art of flagellation, many are rightfully terrified of her presence in the championship. However, to her inner circle, Penny is a starkly different character. Contrasting with her vitriolic demeanor on the track, she’s practically a maternal figure to the newest recruits. Yo-yoing from giving pointers on throttle control and self-defense to rookie Rashers to becoming the biking Boudica she is most notorious for being, it’s hardly a mystery as to why Penny’s orbiters are thrown for a loop by the tonal whiplash alone. Of particular note is her interest in newest competitor Molly Boholano and, more importantly, her disgust with her business partner and girlfriend Nina Zhulikova. Unlike most of her communicative actions, there’s little room for debate as to why Penny loathes her. A childhood in a particularly tumultuous council house and an early adulthood treating delusional punk stars and scumbags as romantic interests, in all their pimply glory, tends to impart such a lesson on a young woman. Hoping that history wouldn’t repeat itself for such a young fount of potential, Penny has orchestrated numerous meetups with prospective partners in an attempt to show Molly that she could do far better than her current lover. Needless to say, the animosity between the two spitfires has been reciprocated ever since Nina caught wind of her campaign.
